Here is a great news for those who love marine life so much so that they wish to dive in and settle down there away from the city madness. Known for its extravagant development projects, like the indoor ski resorts, rotating skyscrapers and “miracle gardens”, Dubai is all set to have floating villas now. Real estate agency Kleindienst Group is constructing a series of lavish floating villas that it has nicknamed “The Floating Seahorse.” The Floating Seahorse is “essentially a boat, not a villa,” according to Kleindienst.
The Kleindienst Group officially unveiled The Floating Seahorse project at The Dubai International Boat Show in March 2015. An iconic, one of a kind luxury lifestyle product, The Floating Seahorse is an exclusive marine style retreat (essentially a boat without propulsion) which has its own plot in the Arabian Gulf. The houses reportedly sell for $2.8 million and the website shows that all 42 of them have already been sold off. Predictable, though!

“We will create an artificial coral reef beneath the luxury retreats,” said Kleindienst CEO Josef Kleindienst, in a press release. “[It] will be a protected area in which seahorses can safely live and breed.”

Each individual Floating Seahorse will boast three levels, one underwater, one at sea level and an upper deck.
The master bedroom and bathroom will be totally submerged underwater and will command breathtaking views of the surrounding coral reef and marine life.
The sea level accommodation will boast floor to ceiling windows, uninterrupted sea views, a fully-fitted kitchen with a dining area, an open plan living area and when the glass façade opens, the sun deck becomes an extension of the living space.
The upper deck is the perfect place for alfresco dining and relaxation and features an informal bed, a mini bar, a kitchenette and a beautiful glass-bottomed Jacuzzi.
The Floating Seahorse has been designed and developed by leading European architects for Kleindienst Group’s iconic island project, The Heart of Europe, located just 4km from the coast of Dubai.
Each unit has a floor area of approximately 1700 square feet. All levels will be made of glass from floor to ceiling to usher in the feel of an aquarium haven.
Each Floating Seahorse weighs 188 tonnes and features 269 square foot of spell bounding underwater glazing and a 495 sq ft stunning coral garden.
