Being a new traveler, you might be hesitant in trying new things at first. But believe me when I tell you that taking a little risk will always be worth it at the end of the day. Risky things are always accompanied with a lot of adrenaline rush making it a really fun experience and makes you tell stories about it later. Challenge yourself, take risks, try new things. You may hate some but you won’t regret any of it. It will only increase your confidence.
You might be tempted to see it all within a short time being a new traveler, but you must control the urge for a better experience. You can rush through 10 cities in 10 days but that doesn’t mean you really enjoyed your stay there. A quality journey is always better than more quantity. Because soon you’ll realize that you saw everything but nothing at all. So take your time to appreciate things on your travel instead of rushing through it.
Take Extra Money
Travel isn’t always an expensive experience, you’ll learn that with time. But there can always be unexpected expenses. So don’t carry money according to your planned budget. Always keep some backup with yourself in the case of an emergency. Because no matter how well you plan, you cannot always plan for all the disasters or maybe an adventure you want to feel like trying at that moment that you did not plan for.
With time you’ll also learn that packing everything you think you will need is not always necessary when you can manage without it in fact. So, avoid taking things you doubt you will use or things that will be easily available during your travel. Packing light means less to carry which is always a thing I’d prefer. Buy a small bag so that you are not tempted to pack your entire room during your travel. Trust me, you won’t need all those things.
Go With the Flow
Being a new traveler, you might have planned every day of your trip according to your convenience. But I think, you should avoid living by guidebook and plans. Those ways you’ll never be able to explore the off-the-beaten paths and places. You will get stressed trying to follow your timetable. Very stressed. Skip that and enjoy the moment as much as you want. Stay at the place you enjoy the most and skip the places you don’t feel like going.
Don’t Be Scared
Taking a leap into the unknown is scary, but once you are past that you will start to experience the bliss in the adrenaline rush of the adventure. You may feel scared being new at this, but there will always way out. You are more capable than you think.
You Are Not Alone
If you feel lost, remember to ask for guidance or help from people around you. Don’t be shy about talking to strangers even if you are an introvert because travel is all about exploring yourself too along with the world. You are not alone, there are other people too who can make you familiar with that place if you ask.
