This is a short and sweet manual for first timers who are excited to explore Kerala. We want to ensure that you have a shock proof experience during your Kerala trip and avoid those “classic first time mistakes” while you are there. Also, we have listed a few tips and giveaways for you so that you know your destination a tidsy bit better and can enjoy a wholesome vacation with your family and friends. Take note of these little pointers and you are good to go.

 

  • Best time to book a Kerala trip- September-March and monsoon is the best time for Ayurveda. December to January is the peak season and April to August is the off-season.
  • Kerala food is medium spicy and is full of different unique flavours and aromas. Something you can't miss at any cost.
  • The heat of Kerala can get really intense during some days. Make sure you carry sunglasses, if in the beach, sunscreen in a must.
  • Tipping is welcome in Kerala, somewhere around 10% makes them smile.
  • If in Kerala, your holiday is incomplete without an original Ayurveda experience. Just go for it.
  • Smoking is banned in public places in Kerala, better refrain from that.
Itinerary

Day 1Cochin- Munnar

Welcome to Kerala trip. Pick up from Cochin Airport and drive to Munnar, on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 2Munnar Sightseeing

After breakfast Local Sightseeing Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams – Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale, Munnar is 1600 Meter above sea level. This majestic hill station was once the summer resort of the British government in South India. Sightseeing in Munnar – Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake ,Echo point, Rajamalai where you can visit the rarest species know as Nilgiri Tars.and overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 3Munnar - Thekkady

After breakfast checkout from the hotel and our Kerala trip will proceed towards a drive to Thekkady , on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time
permits) else day at leisure or own activities and overnight stay at Thekkady.One of the world’s most fascinating wild life reserves. The
Periyar wild life sanctuary in Thekkady is spread across 777 sq km of which 360 sq km is thick ever green forest. Noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wild life and scenic beauty, the sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. Sightseeing in Thekkady: Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary, Spice Plantation .and overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 4Thekkady - Alleppey

After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Alleppey, on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits)
An important backwater destination attracting thousands of tourists every year, who come all the way to enjoy Alleppey for what it
offers. Referred to as the Venice of the East, the place is home to diverse animal and bird life. Alleppey is also famous for its beaches,
marine products, coir industry and boat races. A singularity of this land is the region called KUTTANAD land of lush paddy fields referred to as the rice bowl of Kerala and one of the few places in the world where farming is done below sea level. Sightseeing in Alleppey: Vembanad Lake, Alleppey Beach. overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 5Alleppey - Kovalam

After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Kovalam, on arrival check in to the hotel. Proceed for local Sightseeing (if time permits) Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. It has been a favourite haunt of tourists, especially Europeans, since the 1930s. A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for sea bathing. The leisure options at this beach are plenty and diverse-sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages, special cultural programmes, Catamaran cruising etc. The tropical sun acts so fast that one can see the faint blush of coppery tan on the skin in a matter of minutes. Life on the beach begins late in the day and carries on well into the night.Sightseeing : Padmanabha Swami Temple, Kuthira Maligai Palace, Zoo, Art Gallery (All places close on Monday except Padmanabha Swami Temple).and overnight stay in Kovalam.

Day 6Kovalam - Kanyakumari - Kovalam

After breakfast Full Day trip to Kanyakumari – Captivating Kanyakumari the southernmost end of Tamilnadu and the lands end of India is one of the most popular tourist spot of the country. The beautiful town on the very tip of the Indian Peninsula is set on the confluence of the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean. The town is at its best during Chaitra Poornima (full moon day in April), when the Sun and Moon are face to face at the same horizon. Other full moon days are also special when you can see the sunset and the moon rise almost simultaneously.Sightseeing in Kanyakumari: Vivekananda Rock, Kanyakumari Devi Temple. Drive back to Kovalam .overnight stay in Kovalam.

Day 7Departure home

After check out from the Hotel and drive to Trivandrum Airport / railway station (depend on your departure place) for your flight / train back home, feeling contented about a wonderful holiday you spent in the God’s Own Country. Your Kerala trip ends here today.

Booking conditions

This Kerala trip is a seasonal package with limited validity. Kindly confirm before booking the same.

There may be certain surcharges applicable at the time of booking. All above rates are subject to availability at the time of confirmation and can be changed without prior notice

Actual ROE is charged at the time of confirmation.

All tours are subject to weather conditions and will operate only if weather permits, no refund will be given if services are not operated due to weather or natural problems.

Please make sure you follow the timings given by the driver and guide for all the services and transfers. In case you fail to follow the timings, the Driver will leave for which no refund will be given.

Hotels suggested in the itinerary can be changed and will be equivalent or more to the one given to you in terms of price as per the official rate sheet of the hotel.

Please note to take care of the visa processing and its time as we will not be responsible for any kind of delays or refusal of visa from the concerned consulate and the cancellation policy of the holiday will be applied.
