The little town of Sorrento (you’ll hear it called Surriento in the local dialect) sits amid lemon and orange groves on the south side of the Bay of Naples, surrounded by craggy cliffs that rise 55 meters above the sea. Sorrento is worth a stop for its laid-back holiday air, beaches, and its old streets lined by noble houses.

Itinerary

Day 1Rome-Naples-Pompeii-Sorrento

This 3 day tour  from Rome to the Campania region of Southern Italy will start at 7:30 AM. First we will Visit Piazza Venezia – the central hub of Rome, Then drive to Naples. followed by a visit to the ancient buried city of Pompeii, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved archaeological ruins from the volcanic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. End the day on the spectacular town of Sorrento.
City of Naples –  Naples is one of the largest and most enchanting cities of the Mediterranean. The city dominates the homonymous gulf, which extends from the Sorrento peninsula to the volcanic area of ​​the Campi Flegrei and offers a very impressive view, with the imposing volcano Vesuvius and in the distance, three magnificent islands – Capri, Ischia and Procida – that look like little jewels born from the sea.
Pompeii Archaeological Park –  Pompeii is one of the most significant proofs of Roman civilization and, like an open book, provides outstanding information on the art, customs, trades and everyday life of the past. The city has re-emerged from the darkness of centuries precisely as it would have been when it was unexpectedly buried in the thick layer of ash and lava which poured down from the devastating eruption of Vesuvius. It was the year 79 A.D

Built on the cliff that separates it from its crowded port, Sorrento is famous for its panoramic view of the sea and Piazza Tasso, dotted with coffee. The historic center is a maze of narrow streets

Day 2 Sorrento-Capri-Sorrento

Piazza Tasso Sorrento – is a coastal town on the Sorrento Peninsula, located in front of the Bay of Naples, in the south-western part of Italy. Built on the cliff that separates it from its crowded port, Sorrento is famous for its panoramic view of the sea and Piazza Tasso, dotted with coffee. The historic center is a maze of narrow streets where is located the church of San Francesco.

Blue Grotto Capri – the island in the Gulf of Naples, is famous for its steep territory, exclusive hotels and shopping, ranging from haute couture, limoncello, to handmade leather sandals. One of the most famous natural sites is the Blue Grotto, a dark cavity where the sea water is tinged with electric blue thanks to the presence of an underground cave that filters the sunlight

Day 3Sorrento-Rome

Piazza Venezia Rome – capital of Italy, is a large cosmopolitan city with an artistic, architectural and cultural history that has influenced the whole world and dates back to almost 3000 years ago. The ancient ruins such as the Forum and the Colosseum testify to the power of the ancient Roman Empire. In the Vatican City, home to the Catholic Church, are St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museums, which house masterpieces such as the Sistine Chapel frescoed by Michelangelo
